This policy explains how the Congress of Africa’s Mineral Resources Development (CAMRED) and its organiser, Congress Service Center, handle personal information collected through this website and through our delegate registration portal at register.camred.org. Last updated 25 August 2026.
Who we are

What we collect
- Enquiries and forms on this website: your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and whatever you write to us.
- Delegate registration: your contact and professional details, a badge photograph, passport details and a copy of the photo page, what you book, and the bank-transfer receipt you upload.
- During the congress: badge scans at the registration desk, sessions, lunches and the gala dinner, used for attendance and catering numbers.
- Website statistics: aggregate visit data, and advertising measurement where we run a campaign, as described under Cookies below.
Why we use it
To register you for the congress, issue your badge, arrange the accommodation, transfers and tours you book, process your payment, prepare invitation and visa support letters, and keep you informed about the congress you registered for. We rely on your registration request and our legitimate interest in running the congress; where the law requires consent, we ask for it.
Who we share it with
Only the congress secretariat sees your full record. We share the minimum necessary with the official hotel for a room you book, with the official travel agency for a transfer or tour you book, and with the Egyptian authorities where a visa support letter requires it. Passport copies and payment receipts are never visible to other delegates. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration profile, including passport details, so that you can register for our future congresses without entering everything again. Payment records are kept for seven years to meet accounting obligations. You may ask us to correct or delete your details, including your passport copy, at any time.
Security
The registration portal is served over HTTPS. Signing in uses a one-time link, a six-digit code or a password you choose, which we never see. Passport copies and payment receipts are held in private storage that only the secretariat can open, and every action taken on your record by our staff is recorded in an audit log.
Cookies and measurement
The registration portal sets one cookie, to keep you signed in; there is no advertising or third-party tracking inside the registration area. On this website we may use analytics and advertising measurement tools, including the LinkedIn Insight Tag when we run a campaign, to understand which pages and advertisements lead people to register. These tools set their own cookies and you can refuse them in your browser settings.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or to stop receiving congress announcements. Write to camred@camred.org and we will answer within 30 days.
